TULE is an interdisciplinary community of male and female researchers with the strong belief that the University can be a catalyst in the transformation towards more resilient, fair and sustainable city models. We are formed by a team of 37 researchers belonging to 10 schools distributed on 4 campuses of the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM).

TULE was born in 2020 as a result of the collaborative work that had been done between different researchers of UPM in recent years. We are a part of the 12 thematic communities from Polytechnic University of Madrid, whose objective is to advance towards an organization of interdisciplinary and collaborative research, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals. In this way, we foment multi- and interdisciplinary research, not only from the formation of the community, but also from the way in which we face design and research processes.
